ClackyAITask Plan Agent

Task Plan Agent

We designed Clacky with the goal of assisting human users in addressing real project requirements. To achieve this, we have developed a dedicated Task Plan Agent that leads the process through a comprehensive product development workflow: receiving requirements, analyzing them, planning the development strategy, executing development tasks, and conducting checks and tests.

Planning

On the project’s entry page, users can import tasks from an issue platform by entering ’#’ or manually input requirements. After the Chat Agent clarifies and confirms these requirements, the Task Plan Agent will reference the confirmed needs, search the context and codebase, and generate a requirements specification document. This document is then presented to the user for confirmation, allowing them to manually modify or add details as needed.

Once the requirements specification is confirmed, Clacky will create a new Thread and transition into it. Within this Thread, the Task Plan Agent will gather additional information, including relevant code files/snippets, accessible knowledge bases, and Playbooks. After careful consideration, it will formulate a development plan to address the current requirements, allowing you to modify the plan as necessary.

Execution

After the user confirms or manually adjusts the development plan and approves execution, the Task Plan Agent autonomously follows the task plan, utilizing Clacky’s tools to generate and write code or execute relevant commands in the terminal.

During this process, Clacky introduces innovative “Task Time Machine” and code snapshot technologies, providing developers with complete visualization and control over AI actions. You can track, review, and adjust every modification made by the AI, ensuring the development process remains under your control.

Checkpoint & Rollback

The Task Plan Agent automatically generates a checkpoint after completing each task round, allowing you to track progress and rollback changes when needed.

How It Works

Click the “History” button in the top-right corner to view all checkpoints. Each checkpoint shows:

  • Task description and completion time
  • Number of actions and execution duration
  • “Rollback here” option to undo all changes made after that checkpoint

Checkpoint History

Batch Rollback: Rolling back to an earlier checkpoint (e.g., Checkpoint 2) will automatically undo all subsequent changes (Checkpoint 3, 4, 5, etc.).

💡 Pro Tip: Use checkpoints to safely experiment with different approaches. Rollback won’t affect your git history until you commit.

Review

Once the task execution is complete, in addition to the Agent autonomously checking the task execution results, users can also leverage the “Task Time Machine” feature to replay the entire task execution process. This allows you to pause at any point to review the specific changes of the current action.

Additional

ClackyAI has made modifications based on the initial requirements. After running project tests, if further needs or issues are identified, you can continue to communicate new requirements to ClackyAI. The Task Plan Agent will append new steps to the current task plan and execute them accordingly.
